Work 2.0 is our product platform. When implemented in its entirely it is a fully functional Web 2.0 /Collaboration solution. Work 2.0 implementations can be configured as an Internal/Employee Collaboration or as External/Customer communities.

We also end up working with products from other companies - Microsoft SharePoint, Google Sites and Wave and many Open Source products including Drupal, Joomla, LifeRay, etc.

In addition, our technology expertise spans the generic LAMP, .NET and Java worlds.

LAMP is an acronym for a proven, efficient set of open source software that works well as a system. L - Linux Operating System; A - Apache Web Server; M - My SQL Database Server and P - PHP Scripting Language and Engine. However, this technology world is not limited to these 4 systems, but is fast evolving with the addition of many more platform extensions and applications.

The Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) defined the standards to simplify complex problems with the development, deployment, and management of multi-tier enterprise solutions. J2EE is an industry standard, and is the result of a large industry initiative led by Sun Microsystems.

J2EE is not a product and you cannot "download" J2EE. J2EE is a set of standards and agreements between applications and their containers (or application servers) in which they run. So long as both sides obey the J2EE protocols - applications can be deployed in a variety of environments.

.NET is the Microsoft Web services strategy to connect information, people, systems, and devices through software. Integrated across the Microsoft platform (example Microsoft SharePoint), .NET technology provides the ability to quickly build, deploy, manage, and use connected, security-enhanced solutions with Web services. Unlike J2EE, .NET is a product suite.
